things you learn from movies dept. - deep impact

1. An 80cc trailbike can outrun a 700mph tidal wave

2. A grizzled Apollo astronaut has a better idea of how to destroy a comet than the combined intellect of Russian & American space scientists.

3. A 1100ft high tidal wave travelling at the speed of sound creates no shockwave.

4. A comet hitting the Atlantic will only badly affect America. Europe and Africa will get off lightly.

5. An 80cc trailbike chained up in your neighbour's garage will be easily unlockable, will have the correct sized helmet hanging from the handlebars and  a spare on the pillion, will have a full tank of petrol, will already have the keys in the ignition and will start first time.
